Our Story
The name "Guernsey Holdings" pays homage to the Company's origin and its Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Mike James. It was named in honor of Mike's late father, Peter James, who passed away in April of 2020, just before the firm's founding and initial acquisition.
Mike James has deep British family roots and fond memories of spending his childhood summers on the island of Guernsey with his father and grandfather, Jimmy James. Peter James was a highly respected and well-loved individual who embodied the entrepreneurial spirit. As a result of his influence on son, Mike named the company after the island where they shared so many cherished memories.
The firm was founded in 2021 and the founders include Mike James, Ryan Morita, Reed Melillo and Domenic Hjerpe, bringing together a decade-long friendship and a shared entrepreneurial passion to the Company. Guernsey embodies its founders' relentless work ethic, merit-based values, creative approach, and competitive spirit.
